After extending their gap at the top of the Premier League to 25 points at the weekend, Liverpool now need just two more wins to guarantee a first league title since 1990 – although they may not even require that many depending on results elsewhere.
Manchester City, who can still claim a maximum of 30 points, host Arsenal on Wednesday night and Burnley on Saturday. Defeats in both would hand Liverpool the title before the Reds face Everton on Monday, while one point for Pep Guardiola’s side would mean the current leaders need only a draw at Goodison Park to clinch the title. Liverpool’s next home game in the Premier League is against Crystal Palace on Saturday 21 March, with the Reds knowing that if they beat Everton next Monday, victory over the Eagles would make sure of the title, irrespective of Manchester City’s results. [via Sky Sports]
Go on then, which would you rather?

This Is Anfield on Twitter (@thisisanfield) asked followers if they would rather secure a first title in 30 years at the home of neighbours Everton, where a draw last season ultimately cost Liverpool the league, or at a raucous Anfield the following week against Palace, whose 3-3 draw in 2014 killed Merseyside title dreams. For these Reds fans, ending the three-decade title drought on home soil would be the dream scenario:
At Anfield for me! A Saturday 5.30 kick off is the stuff of dreams!

It’s better to win the league at home and experience raw emotions with fans invading the pitch and the ground flooding with tears of joy.
