Dani Pacheco Match Report vs Manchester City

|

daniel pacheco21st Jan – Liverpool 3 – 3 Manchester City (Reserve PL North game) – Another outstanding display from the 18 year old Spanish midfielder. Pacheco played a massive part in the opening goal of the match, jinking past two defenders before offloading the ball to Jay Spearing who hammered a 25 year old shot into the bottom corner. The Spaniard was once again instrumental a few minutes later after taking possession from City and delivering a superb ball to Nathan Eccleston who should have made it 2-0. Despite City getting back into the match to make it 1-1, Pacheco was controlling the midfield and he scored a wonderful volley from outside the box to restore the lead on 30 minutes. Chances continued to flow for the Reds during the first half and Pacheco provided the corner from which Daniel Ayala nearly put the side 3-1 up. The attacking midfielder was also denied another goal after a superb double save from City keeper Gunnar Nielsen at the start of the second half. Despite Liverpool’s domination, City went 3-2 up and Pacheco had an excellent chance to equalize in dying moments of the match but he couldn’t get a good contact. Luckily for the Spaniard, Nikola Saric scored an injury time equalizer to make the final score 3-3.
