Nathan Eccleston Match Report vs Leeds

|

nathan_eccleston 427th Feb – Huddersfield 2 – 2 Leeds (League One) – Nathan Eccleston was an unused sub once again as Huddersfield kept their impressive unbeaten run going against second placed Leeds, to keep their own promotion hopes alive. Lee Clark persisted with the strike partnership of Jordan Rhodes and Lee Novak, which has kept Eccleston out of the side, but it was Anthony Pilkington who opened the scoring for the Terriers with a defected shot past Leeds keeper Casper Ankergren on 13 minutes. Huddersfield went in at half-time 1-0 up but it was Leeds who were pressing at the start of the second half. Their persistence was rewarded as they got two quick-fire goals on 61st and 67th minutes through Jonathan Howson and Luciano Becchio. With 5 minutes to go though, Gary Roberts rescued a draw, slotting in a far post cross from Pilkington.
