Tom Ince Match Report vs West Brom

27th Feb – Liverpool 0 – 0 West Brom (Academy Premier League North) – Tom Ince had a lively day but couldn’t prevent Liverpool Under 18s slipping to a frustrating draw against West Brom’s youngsters at the Kirkby Academy. After exchanging chances in the first half, Ince had an opportunity to put the Reds into the lead just before half time. A fantastic run from Michael Ngoo saw the young striker take out three defenders before passing the ball across to Ince in the six yard box. Unfortunately the ball was just behind the young winger and the chance had gone. Ince showed his frustration about the missed opportunity. After the interval, Ince had another chance to open the scoring on 60 minutes after Ngoo and Dalla Valle set him up for a shot on goal. The winger however saw his powerfully hit strike brilliantly saved by West Brom keeper Ryan Allsop. The Baggies came back into the match and nearly stole the victory through Saido Berahino but it ended without either side scoring.
