Hodgson ready to fly out for showdown talks?

|

The Daily Mirror is reporting that Roy Hodgson is ready to fly out for showdown talks with Fernando Torres to resolve his future. The Liverpool manager wants to know from the player as quickly as possible whether he wants to stay or to be soldĀ so he can begin to outline his transfer plans. The future of Torres, according to the paper, is central to how Hodgson moulds his transfer plans in the current tranfer window and he wants a straight answer from the player so he can get on planning for the future. The Reds boss needs time to find a replacement and needs a player who can be registered for the club’s Europa League campaign. Torres has expressed that he would like to discuss what the club’s plans were for next season before deciding on his future, and the Mirror believes Hodgson wants the situation resolved sooner rather than later.
