According to Tribalfootball, Liverpool are tracking Valencia winger Juan Mata. The player is struggling to agree a new deal with the Spanish club and is now within 2 years of his contract expiring. Mata is reported to be frustrated by the lack of progress being made on the contract and the Reds are apparently interested in stepping in with a bid. Liverpool Chief Scout Eduardo Macia is a big fan of Mata, who has nine caps for Spain, and has given Reds boss Roy Hodgson some praiseworthy reports of the player. According to the site, Valencia would only be prepared to sell for bids in the region of £10million, and it would require to Liverpool to finance the deal through the sale of other players.

The best transfer news I’ve heard since Torres came. This player is what we need to solve our heck load of problems on the left wing. When he comes, Cole can go back to the right and Mata can play on the left. This two will cause a lot of havoc for the opposing team’s defence.
