French Press: Reds after Lyon striker

|

According to Le Progres, Liverpool have been linked with a move for Lyon’s Argentinean striker Lisandro Lopez. 27 year old Lopez was bought for €24million last summer as a replacement for Karim Benzema who departed for Real Madrid. He scored 24 goals in all competitions last term and was named Ligue One’s Player of the Year, but Le Progres believe the French club are going to put the player up for sale. Lyon are apparently going to invite offers for €15million ahead of the January transfer window. It is rumoured that Lopez’s name has been touted around Europe already, and with Liverpool looking out for a new striker, the Merseyside club has inevitably been linked with the player.

I’ve read on a couple of sites about this today, would be a cracking signing, has a really keen eye for a goal, and he’s strong…but now the w**k yank$ are out, and new owners due, expect to be linked to just about every player who needs a little bit more exposure from their greedy agents to line their deep deep pockets!

hang on a minute €15m? if anything he’s only increased his value since joining Lyon. unless they only got him on a 2 year deal or something that price tag will never happen. he’s their go to man. wouldnt count on it.
