St Etienne holding midfield player Blaise Matuidi has stated to French newspaper France Soir that he would prefer a move to the Premier League, the 23 year old has been linked with a move to both Arsenal and Liverpool in recent weeks. Responding to rumours of interest from Italy he said:
“It is nice to know a club like Juventus is following you or asking about you. But the league that would suit me best is the Premier League. This is due to tactical, cultural and physical reasons, and the atmosphere in the stadiums.”
A tough midfielder with a good passing range, Matuidi is valued between €7.5m-10m by his club St Etienne.
