Reds Star: “I must admit I’ve had it hard”

|

Liverpool forward Milan Jovanovic has admitted he has found adapting to the Premier League very difficult since joining on a Bosman free transfer in the summer:

“I must admit I’ve had it hard. I’ve discovered here a new way of playing, a different competition and mentality, and a club that is completely different than Standard Liege. But I can now honestly say that I feel better. The turning point came in the Europa League match against Napoli. I’m not saying I played the perfect game, but it was again the Jovanovic of Standard and the national team.”

Jovanovic has not started a Premier League match since the 0-0 draw against Birmingham City back in September.

haha i remember an interview when he said playing at liverpool was the same at Liege. Only a bit faster. He’ll regret saying that now…

I honestly think Jovanovic should be given more chances. He’s got speed, can finish and is strong so why is he sitting on the bench all the time? I don’t understand why the likes of Shelvey, Spearing, Eccleston and Ngog are ahead of him in the pecking order, he hasn’t even been given a chance as a substitute. Roy should really give him more playing time in the coming games, either as a striker or a left winger.

switch to 433 and get him and Babel on either side of Torres.

Especially if the team is going to play deep, we need to have pace out there to maximise our counter-attacking opportunities and those 3 are the only options we have that could geniunely test opposition defenders one on one; the current set up just makes absolutely no sense at all!

Roy ignores JOva b/cause he is a Raffas pick. Period!
The second reason is Roy himself is not so goo coach to recognize good player.
Jova should move to play for team like Villa, New astel, Sunderland etc….
