“It’s nice to hear your name being mentioned” with Liverpool

|

Lille attacking midfielder Eden Hazard has revealed that it feels nice to be linked with one of the “best teams in the world” in Liverpool. He also disclosed that he turned down a move to Chelsea last summer:

“I could have gone [to Chelsea] last June, but I was not ready to make that big leap. Recently, the press have been writing about interest from Liverpool, and it is nice to hear your name being mentioned everywhere, especially with the best teams in the world. If I do leave at the end of the season, I don’t want to go somewhere I will be on the bench, and it will be difficult to break through in a team like Real, where Ronaldo and Kaka will be my competitors.”

Hazard also stated though that a move to Arsenal does interest him:

“But there are teams like Arsenal, where youngsters can grow more easily into the first team and make their mark. I will not leave for another French club because, with 100 matches under my belt for Lille, I don’t think I have to prove my qualities for a team in the same league.”

Bet on Liverpool to beat Fulham 3-0 at 10/1

This week it is former Liverpool player Danny Murphy’s wife Joanna Taylor!

NO THANKS, NO HEART, DOESNT CLEARLY KNOW WHAT HE WANTS, WHY WOULD WE OR WANT A PLAYER LIKE THAT.

    HES NOT THAT GREAT ANYWAY, DID VERY LITTLE WHEN HE PLAYED V US LAST YEARS!!! NO THANKS RATHER WE PAID OUT LESS FOR;

MATA, OR YOUNG OR NAVA OR JOAQUIN OR HERNANDEZ(VALENCIA) EVEN TURAN,

NO THANKS TO THE OVER PRICED HAZARD

You know nothing about football. This guy is the most promising young talent right now. Hope we get him before Madrid come sniffing around.

  • alex says:

  • rolando says:

  • Rememory says:

we need him, was amazing against us last year would love to see him at Liverpool. One of the most promising youngsters in the world right now

Playing well in a substandard league in France is no guarantee this guy would make it in the Premiership. He is too small and lightweight and would be brushed aside in games against the likes of Everton, Blackburn, Stoke, Bolton and Man Utd. Players from the French League never settle at Liverpool. Liverpool should buy Nzogbia for the left wing and push Johnson up to the rightwing position.

    • Torres9 says:

If a skinny wretch like Modric, Nasri and Nani when he first arrived can make it, then why not this bloke. He can always beef up just a little. We are obsessed with big physical players but the little ones can make their mark as well. Didn’t Spain with all their little midgets beat the powerful Dutch in the World Cup. I understand your concerns, but the best players always rise above these physical challenges.

      • Torres9 says:

Will prob not be an instant hit but would need a season or 2 like Nani, Nasri, Pires etc to adapt.

  • kenny says:

In reply to Torres9 what have Modric and Nasri won playing in England. Where was Nasri against Man Utd on Monday night? Arsenal are one of the smallest and lightest teams in the Premier League and they win nothing.

    • neil says:

they have won plenty games from what they have created and goals they have scored you goat, anyone knows they are 2 of the best talents in the prem.

arsenal may have a light team but they damn sure win more than us, and have a hell of a lot more talent think before you speak

if players were only judged on what their team have won in the past years rather than what they do on the pitch then there would be barely any talented players

my god your thick, get outta here

  • steve mcauley says:

would love to see him at anfield but i think the really big money should go on an out-and-out striker to partner nando which is why i would go along with kenny’s idea of insomnia and GJ as wingers!
BTW, the redmen suggested today that rubroy maybe thinks his face is a magic lamp, brilliant, LMAO!!
    woy out!

  • kenny says:

In reply to NEIL, how thick are you. If you were awake you would have realised it is trophies I was referring to and not individual games. Maybe you should come out and admit you are an Arsenal fan as just like Wenger it seems that the team you support not winning trophies does not bother you.

  • hero says:

I could have sworn he was the lille player who scored against us last season and mesmerized our defenders.

  • Julie says:

We don’t need him!!! It would be NICE to have him, but we don’t need him. We need a striker, a winger & a left back/central defender maybe the GENNIE will come out of the magic lamp & grant us 3 wishes so get to rubbing that lamp Woy.

  • kenny says:

In response to HERO you think that any player that showed up Liverpool’s awful defenders is worth buying if that is the case maybe Liverpool should have bought the Reading players that knocked Liverpool out of the FA Cup last season.
