The agent of Palermo star Josip Ilicic has confirmed that there will be a buyout clause inserted into any new contract with the Italian club. Earlier this month agent Amir Ruznic confirmed that Liverpool, Chelsea and Tottenham were all interested in buying the Slovenian international, and had stated that Ilicic could be worth as much as €20million. Ruznic is now due to open contract talks with Palermo chief Maurizio Zamparini and he said about the talks:
“A get-out clause in Ilicic’s contract? Definitely, yes,”
Ilicic was only bought from NK Maribor in the summer for €2.2million and had been playing in the Slovenian second division only a couple months previously. Read my article on him here: Rags to Riches in Six Months, but could he be an Anfield star?

I would love us to have a Slovenian star on our team!
So much for our scouting system, why couldn’t we have found him in the 2nd division? rather than paying millions for him?
