The Mail has reported that Liverpool Director of Football Damien Comolli is keeping an eye on Arsenal full back Gael Clichy’s contract situation. Comolli played a part in bringing Clichy to England as a junior and maybe able to persuade the French international to move to the Reds if Arsenal decide to sell. Clichy has yet to open new contract talks with the Gunners, and with his deal expiring in 2012, Arsenal will look to sell the defender in the summer rather than lose him for nothing after next season if he stalls on a new contract.
