Liverpool have been linked with a move for Reading striker and Irish international Shane Long. The 23 year old is currently leading the Royals’ line as they seek promotion to the Premier League through the playoffs, and the People believes that Kenny Dalglish is keen to add the player to the Reds forward line of Andy Carroll, Luis Suarez and Dirk Kuyt. According to the paper, Liverpool have scouted the player on several occasions in the last few months and are tipped to make a bid for the player at the end of the season. Newcastle United have also been linked with the player.
