As the season draws near, the focus will very much be on what personnel and formation Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish will pick for the majority of matches this season. Here’s my prediction for his first XI and formation below:

Pepe Reina – GK – One of the best goalkeepers in the world and will surely start most matches this season
Glen Johnson – RB – Will just edge ahead of Martin Kelly in regards to experience and his ability going forward. Any poor form though could lead to Kelly being picked ahead of him.
Jamie Carragher – CB – Although many Reds fans now want Carra to be a bit part player this season, I think Kenny still feels he has what it takes to play another full season in the first team
Daniel Agger – CB –Will be picked ahead of Skrtel and Soto when fit as King Kenny clearly rates the Dane for both his defensive qualities and his talent on the ball.
Jose Enrique – LB – Spent £6million on the pacey full back and will probably be chosen ahead of Aurelio due to the Brazilian’s poor fitness record. Dalglish will look for a good understanding between him and Downing.
Lucas – CM – Praised by Dalglish for his performances last season and he should be one the first players on the team sheet.
Charlie Adam – CM – Will play in a holding midfield role. Aquilani and Meireles will be played further forward while Henderson will not play every game. The Scot was bought to give the midfield an accurate midfield passer as well as more balance with his left foot.
You took the words out of my mouth. That is also my favoured line up. Wouldn’t change a thing. I would make a subs bench of: Doni, kelly, Skrtel, Spearing, Aquilani, Pacheco and Kuyt
I can’t predict KK’s starting but i think your’s could possibly be right.

Your spot on with your formation mate and personnel (best possible 11). Some old skool fans believe KK will go 4-4-2 with Hendo wide but I dont buy into that, we played poor in pre-season with 4-4-2, it only works if you have two pacey wingers. 4-2-3-1 is the way to go or 4-3-3 but 4-2-3-1 is the safe bet as we all know Gerrard in the hole with Luis and Downing either side is going to be devastating.
I would agree with the formation but I would prefer to see Kelly start ahead of Johnson and I think Suarez would be better on the left as he showed with Uruguay in the Copa America. Gary Cahill for centre back and I think we will have a great season, I can’t wait
if cahill is going to start the season with us,for me carra is the man to make space.he s getting older and is trowing a lot more balls in the air.you can t do that in the modern fottie.so cahill and agger for me.i m very soory carra but tanks for every thing.Y N W A.
