I love this club, but hate some of the decisions they make in equal measure.
And i still can’t get over the fact we overpaid AGAIN for another british one season wonder, when clearly sahin should have been our priority. The lad’s class and has had more than one good season under his belt.

Sub standard? Championship more like it. Downing escaped by jumping ship at Middlesborough, Adam and blackpool and finally, Carrol with 4 months in the pl. it is criminal .

We should be down by two already with this effort and only 18 minutes in. Terrible give always and poor passing. It seems half the guys on the field are half a step behind for us and are not seeing the pitch. Players should know where they want to go with the ball before they even work to get open, but somehow they end up with the ball and no clue where to go. Very poor showing so far, even for subs.

The passing and pressing in the second half were very good. Rodgers actually got them playing well considering half the team tonight were of sub-standard. It’s early days and too many knee jerkers around.
