Who? Another player who was labelled as the ‘next Zidane’, Plessis joined Liverpool at the age of 19 in 2007 from Lyon and was seen as one of their most promising youngsters, alongside Karim Benzema and Hatem Ben Arfa.

However, Plessis did not live up to expectations and only made 8 appearances in three years with the club, including the awful Liverpool performance against Tottenham in the 2008/09 League Cup, where the Reds lost 4-2.

Plessis left for Panathinaikos in 2010, where he has continued to struggle and is now at French Ligue 2 side LB Châteauroux.
