Harsh on Ilori but has not yet made any kind of mark on the first-team

5. Tiago Ilori
Perhaps a bit harsh, but if he was talented, determined and ultimately good enough then he would be in the first team, like Raheem Sterling. Perhaps centre-back is a harder place to break through for younger players, as experience is often preferred in that position, but for many Anfield youngsters, once they are loaned out on multiple occasions the writing is on the wall.

Ilori arrived in the summer transfer deadline day last season for £7m from Sporting Lisbon, but is yet to make a senior appearance for the Reds. The 21 year old Portuguese was loaned out in January 2014 to Granada and has just been sent to French side Bordeaux for the 2014-15 season.

It would be fantastic to see Ilori succeed at Anfield but it just does not seem likely.
