Brendan has some massive calls to make ahead of a busy Xmas period that will decide his fate

Just over month ago, Live4liverpool took a look at 5 players we wanted to see taken out of the first team picture, in order for the Reds form to take a considerable upturn at a time when we were struggling to put points and wins to bed.

At that time, we still had the Champions League to play for and were still in a position from where it was possible to push the teams in the top four places but 5 weeks on and things look far, far more bleak with the Europa League now on the agenda for February and qualification for next season’s top competition now all but buried. With that fact in mind and Brendan Rodger’s career looking likely to take a serious down-turn, it would be a good idea to revisit this topic and look at 5 players on whom the team can no longer rely every week.

I agree that Johnson and Lovren should be dropped. I would also personally drop Toure and add Mignolet to the list (which Rogers has done) and finally Ballotelli who has been completely useless since signing. Liverpool need a commanding world class goalkeeper and at least 2 world class central defenders and they need to stop investing in attacking players since its obvious that the problems with the team are all in the defensive departments.

I agree with some of the names on this list, but I think there are other that should be considered dropped from the Team.

    Here is my list
    Joe Allen
    Sterling
    Ballotelli
    Mignolet
    Lambert

Other that could easily have made the list
    Lovren
    Skrtel
    Emre Can

brendan rodgers is confused…there seems to be a problem in the dressing room and his formation and choice of playerz are nt up to par.sterling is becomin frustratin to watch, gerrard is useless in d dm role, lovren, glen should b out of d team indefinitely.why lazar, moreno and manqs, lallana, can, sakho, borini are not gettin into d team is beyond me…

  • elias says:

Need more emre can on the mid and sakho should be back in the line and manquillo , borini deserves a starting place only that rodgers has little faith in him

  • stephen says:

I think brendan should start playing 2 holding midfielders to protect the backline

  • Oduola.akinade says:

    Allen
    Johnson
    Sterling
    Lovren
    Mignolet

I agree with all of the names mentioned in the article. However, the blame here lies with Rogers, as he must shoulder the blame for the inept performances of the team in general, and also spending 120 million euro’s on inappropriate players.

Lallana , Can , Markovic , Lucas and Moreno should start and drop Gerrad and the rest………..
