The Liverpool youngster deserves a chance to prove himself for the first team tonight

Midfield

Lucas Leiva – With James Milner set to miss out tonight, the Reds midfield needs at least one experienced head in the middle. If the team are able to get in front and look comfortable, Lucas may be able to be withdrawn with Saturday in mind but sending out an inexperienced midfield would be a mistake.

Joe Allen – Rumours in recent days were that Allen was not a player that Klopp was keen to keep but as one of only three fit first team midfielders, he’ll probably have to start.

João Carlos Teixeira – With Jordan Rossiter injured, we’d personally prefer to rest Emre Can so many would probably go for Cameron Brannagan. But after winning Brighton’s Young Player of the Year last season, it’s surely about time the Portuguese youngster was given a chance to show what he can do?
