Five who’s LFC careers Klopp could ‘revive’

Adam Lallana

There is a fair argument that Adam Lallana’s Liverpool career isn’t quite in need of ‘saving’ yet but many fans have grown frustrated with the 27 year old’s form.

From game to game, Lallana is either a tricky nuisance or a non-existent burden on his team mates. The problem for any manager taking Lallana on at Liverpool though is that there’s clearly talent there. And at 27 he still has yet to hit his peak.

For many, Lallana is full of tricks, has quick feet and plenty of technique but he’s also quilty of holding onto the ball too long and dawdling in the box. This leaves many to feel he is simply a luxury player and, at the moment, Liverpool has little room for such performers.

But that does Lallana an injustice. If you glance back at an article from earlier today about James Milner, it’s clear that Lallana actually runs Milner quite close, in terms of distance covered in many matches. And he often doesn’t finish games.

For instance, in the recent win against Bournemouth Adam covered just under 0.5 km less than Milner – a player who’s reputation is built on covering every blade of grass.

Of course, as we said about Milner, hard work isn’t everything. But whereas Milner is a solid player, it’s hard to doubt that Lallana has bags of talent and if Klopp can bring both aspects of his game out of him then we could be seeing a resurgent Adam Lallana in the very near future.

I do not agree with the assessment of Allen. Many forget he was an instrumental component during our long and successful run in the spring of 2013. I would also say the same qualities shone through during our mini-revival last January-March.

How about IBE, is he going to be playing or does he suits klopp’s formations?
