According to reports overnight Liverpool are in the hunt for two promising young European (based in Europe, at least) stars, with Leandro Paredes and Niklas Sule both linked.

Paredes is a name we’ve seen before, after there were rumours of the Argentine midfielder signing in the January transfer window. Despite that move not coming off, it is again reported that Liverpool are closing on the player, who is currently on loan at Empoli in the Serie A, from his parent club Roma.

Apparently, Roma are in a position where they are going to have to sell to buy in the summer, and the promising 21 year old is one of a host of players that could be sold, according to Gazzetta Dello Sport.

Elsewhere, Bild are reporting that Liverpool will look to move one step closer to solving their defensive issues this summer by bringing in 6’4 German youngster Niklas Sule.

The 20 year old currently plays for Hoffenheim, the former club of one of this season’s stars, Roberto Firmino, and has played over 70 games in the past few seasons for the German side.

According to the German outlet, Jurgen Klopp was a huge admirer of Sule during his Dortmund days and has ‘ordered’ the club to make the first move for the player. Hoffenheim are yet to respond.
