Negotiations between Liverpool and Udinese for midfielder Piotr Zielinski have stalled, according Italian football journalist Gianluca Di Marzio. Writing on his own website gianlucadimarzio.com, he says that Napoli are now waiting in the wings to snap up the 22 year old.

The Italian club are believed to have had a €13million bid plus bonuses accepted, with full back Juan Camilo Zuniga included as part of the deal. Former Napoli manager Walter Mazzarri is interested in bringing Zuniga to Watford and with Udinese and the Hornets both owned by the Pozzo family, Udinese could easily allow Zuniga to leave for the Premier League if Zielinski moves to Napoli.

It is widely believed that Zielinski wants a move to Liverpool but although a bid looks to have been made by the Reds for the Polish international, no further developments have been apparent. It may be the case that Zielinski wants to resolve his future after the Euros, and with Poland to face Portugal in the quarter finals, we may have to wait a bit longer for further news.
