According to The Liverpool Echo, Liverpool are looking to agree a deal with Sydney FC ahead of a potential lucrative post-season friendly down under.

Of course, the Reds have been in Australia before when they played in Melbourne but the club have never played in Sydney.

A deal is not in place yet, either, but talks are ongoing and it would seem that the Reds would be in for a windfall if something can be agreed.

It would extend the Reds’ 2017/18 season, too, but these types of games are starting to creep in now – along with the obvious pre-season tours and so hopefully we’ll have something to brag about if we do have this game.

The Champions League spot is obviously what we all want and so such a trip would only seem worth it if we had that to look forward to.
