According to The Express, Liverpool and Manchester United are battling to try and sign young Turkish star Yusuf Yazici as soon as possible.
The Reds and the Red Devils take one another on next time out once the international break in a game that never needs to be hyped up in terms of importance.
The battle off the pitch, though, is always something we want to win too and so, if Yazici is good enough, we’d like to see us beat the Red Devils to the punch.
For sure, we’ve got the capacity to do that and we look like the kind of side that’s better placed to develop young talent but ultimately be up to the player.
If we do miss out on him, though, he’ll hopefully decide to move elsewhere instead of United.
