According to Don Balon – via the Daily Star, Lionel Messi has given the go ahead for Barcelona to try and sign Liverpool man Philippe Coutinho in the January window.
The men from Anfield chalked up a fine 4-0 win down at Bournemouth last night with Philippe Coutinho one of the best performers during the game.
Indeed, he scored a fine individual effort and was a menace throughout with speculation over his future once again being mentioned after the game.
And, with that in mind, it seems as though the Argentine Messi has told his club to do all they can to get the Brazilian in during the January window.
Messi appears to have some say in transfers at the Nou Camp – as is his standing at the club – but that can only do so much anyway and we think that Coutinho will still be at our club come the closing of this window.
