Everton have joined Liverpool in pursuit of Crystal Palace attacker Wilfried Zaha, according to the Sun.

The newspaper claims that the Toffees have entered the running for the 25-year-old, who is at the centre of a £60million race this summer.

It is understood that Everton, Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City are all interested in the speed machine.

The report details that Everton believe the Ivory Coast international can help their side fight for European football next season, but Palace are keen to keep their talisman and offer him fresh terms at Selhurst Park.

Zaha is reportedly on a mega £100,000-a-week contract with Palace and many feel he is ready for a big-money move ahead of next season.

Good move for Liverpool?

Zaha would add even more attacking firepower if he moved to Anfield and has proven he can be unstoppable at times in the Premier League.

The versatile attacker, who has thrived as a centre-forward this campaign, has scored nine goals and supplied five assists in 29 appearances.

He definitely has the technical ability to join the Merseyside club and appears to be in the same mould as the current crop of attackers.

Zaha’s huge price tag may be the only stumbling block, but it will take huge fees in the current market to sign star quality.

Likely to happen?

The race for Zaha certainly appears to be hotting up with Everton now joining and it’s likely that speculation will rumble on during the window.

Liverpool are definitely an attractive option under Jurgen Klopp for most attackers and the Reds have been continuously linked with the Palace flyer, but it remains to be seen if they will make a formal bid.
