Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp must do the unthinkable and utilise a fired-up Emre Can in the Champions League final against Real Madrid.
The 24-year-old’s inclusion in the Reds’ squad for arguably their most important game of the season will be controversial to say the least, as Can looks destined to leave the club as soon as it’s over.
Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport had previously claimed that Can would be announced as signing for Juventus on the 27th of May, the day after Liverpool play in the Champions League final against Real Madrid.
The central midfielder’s contract is set to expire at the end of June and it seems Can pictures his future elsewhere despite the successful foundation for success that Klopp is currently building at Anfield.
However despite clearly having one foot out the door already, Klopp would be a fool not to use the midfielder’s talents why they were still available to him, especially as he looks highly motivated.
Mirror correspondent David Maddock reported on his personal Twitter account on Monday that the German midfielder looked raring to go during the open training session at Anfield.

Maddock even claimed that Can was so fired up that he put in a recklessly robust challenge on Virgil van Dijk, who will no doubt be a key player in the upcoming Champions League final.
This incident showed a recklessness nature by Can, not seen in the 37 appearances he made before getting injured this season, but clearly he was just trying to make a memorable impression to force his way into the squad.
If Klopp could channel the midfielder’s anger into him unleashing a performance that he is capable of against Madrid, the German midfielder could be the difference to the Reds’ winning the Champions League.
Can may give off the impression that he is ready to abandon fans, but after missing out on Germany’s World Cup squad as reported by the Express, the midfielder has a point to prove.
Therefore Klopp must unleash Can on Madrid as they won’t expect it, given he hasn’t feature as of late due to injury, as he could be the shock trump card that sees the Reds lift the Champions League.
