Liverpool currently have the fab three of Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane to lead their attack, but this summer is the perfect opportunity for manager Jurgen Klopp to add some serious cover behind them.

The Merseyside club had very little competition or back-up options for when one of the trio were absent in the recent season, something that must be amended if they are to win silverware in the foreseeable future.

Klopp appears to be building a formidable squad that can win trophies after bringing in Naby Keita and Fabinho, and now adding some extra attacking ammunition that can fit into his three-man attack makes sense.

One man that should crop up on Liverpool’s radar is Feyenoord winger Steven Berghuis, who was in stunning form during the 2017/18 campaign for the Eredivisie outfit.

The 26-year-old is a right-winger that is the perfect understudy for Egyptian king Salah and would massively improve options in the final third.

He made 43 appearances across all competitions in the recent campaign in Holland, scoring 23 goals and supplying 17 assists in return.

The Holland international is a dazzling left-footed attacker that has experience in the Champions League and looks like he could really thrive in the Premier League.

The Dutch flyer ticks a lot of boxes in terms of slotting into Liverpool’s attacking formation and is surely worth a punt this summer, with Anfield an attractive home for most players across Europe.
