Some Liverpool fans on social media heaped praise on attacker Daniel Sturridge for his performance against Borussia Dortmund on Sunday.
The Reds may have suffered a 3-1 defeat at the hands of the German giants but supporters of Jurgen Klopp’s side couldn’t help but be impressed by Sturridge during the game.
One Reds fan tweeted that the forward who earns £120,000-a-week at Anfield, according to the The Times, was looking sharper than ever before and that they personally hoped he would play a part in the upcoming season.
Live 4 Liverpool have gathered a selection of tweets about Sturridge’s latest display in pre-season:

Exactly why I say we shouldn’t sell him. We all know what he’s capable of when he’s 100% healthy.

OPINION
It seems Sturridge is continuing to remind not only Klopp but some Reds supporters that he is a talented forward. The 28-year-old’s injury concerns will still be in the back of every fan’s mind but based on a section of supporters’ reactions to his latest display, he has made them miss the days when he regularly featured. Sturridge has consistently put in good performances during pre-season so far and made the most of his minutes, if he is able to stay fit then perhaps he will have fans drooling over his displays in the Premier League this season as well. It seems a lot of fans are hoping that his injury troubles are behind him but as always Sturridge staying fit is never guaranteed.
