Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has admitted that the club will look to secure a loan exit for young attacker Sheyi Ojo, with several Championship clubs in the hunt for the 21-year-old.

Goal however report that the Reds are also open to a permanent exit for the academy graduate, who is yet to make an impact at first-team level for the club.

The news outlet report that Liverpool are seeking a fee of £15million including add-ons for Ojo, who spent half of last season on loan at Fulham, a spell which was largely unsuccessful.

West Bromwich Albion are said to be showing serious interest in a deal for the winger, but as expected, Liverpool’s price tag has put them off a permanent deal.

The Baggies are however keen on working out a loan-to-buy agreement for the 21-year-old, with Middlesbrough, Stoke, Birmingham and Nottingham Forest also in pursuit.

While it is understandable that Liverpool are seeking as much money as possible for their youngster, there is absolutely zero chance that any club will pay £15million for his services.

Ojo has done nothing in his career so far to warrant such a fee, even in today’s inflated market, and Liverpool have their head in the clouds regarding their demands here.

Obviously that would not be the end of the world by any means, with the club happy to retain Ojo on the books for another year as he continues his development elsewhere.

However, if you consider everything, a permanent exit may be the best option for all parties with Ojo unlikely to make a first-team breakthrough at 21, and in that regard the club must lower their demands.

Even a fee of £10million would be a brilliant result considering, and Liverpool must now be realistic in their negotiations with West Brom, or whoever wants to sign him.
