Liverpool and Chelsea are both keen on Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar, according to RMC Sport.
The French broadcaster claims that both the Blues and the Reds are keeping tabs on the 20-year-old playmaker following the player’s red-hot form this season.
RMC Sport report that Chelsea have supervised Aouar for several weeks but that the Reds have also looked very closely at the midfielder who has been involved in nine goals already this season.

Aouar is turning heads and attracting attention from the Premier League for all the right reasons. In the 17 appearances he has made in the 2018/19 campaign so far, he has scored five while creating four and sounds exactly like player capable of doing a job at Anfield. Aouar’s talents are further justified when you consider three of his assists have come in the four Champions League outings he has made this season, which shows he can cut it at the highest level. Given that the 20-year-old can play as a central midfielder, attacking midfielder as well as on the left flank, then he would certainly give Jurgen Klopp several options on how to use him if recruited. While the German manager did welcome several new midfielders in the summer and has several options to choose from, the Reds could still do with player capable of being a bright spark when played in the No.10 position.
