Liverpool is one of the world’s most iconic football clubs, with many a player dreaming of playing for the Reds faithful at Anfield.

Obviously there is only a select few who are granted that privilege, but that does not stop some players from spending much of their career in hope of a dream move to Merseyside.

Among that number looks to be Red Bull Salzburg forward Munas Dabbur, who has set his sights on a move to Anfield to work under Jurgen Klopp, according to TuttoMercatoWeb.

The Italian outlet report that the Israel international is attracting the attention of Valencia, with his £22million release clause offering the chance of a potential bargain for the right club.

However, his desperate desire for a move to Anfield looks to be a stumbling block for the La Liga club, with Dabbur set to remain at Salzburg until the summer.

Now, his name may not mean much to Liverpool fans, but Dabbur’s record speaks for itself, with the 25-year-old having netted 20 goals in 30 matches in all competitions this season.

His overall record for Red Bull is 55 goals in 110 games, or one-in-two, which is a brilliant record for a striker anywhere in the world.

Liverpool fans may also be thinking that the club do not need another striker, but Daniel Sturridge is out of contract in the summer and is yet to be offered a new deal [Transfermarkt].

Sturridge has admittedly been a good servant for the Reds over the years, and indeed showed glimpses of his talent this season, but there is little doubt that he is not quite good enough anymore.

Klopp needs a second striker he can rely upon to score when called upon, and Sturridge is unfortunately not that man anymore.

Dabbur on the other hand, may well be.

A £22million deal is an absolute bargain for a club of Liverpool’s standing, and a summer move almost becomes a no-brainer for Klopp with Dabbur desperate to prove himself at Anfield.
