Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is expected to recall captain Jordan Henderson against Manchester City on Thursday night.

The two teams are preparing to go head to head in what could be a pivotal moment in the Premier League title race, and Klopp will likely bring Henderson back for the crunch contest.

The return of the England international, will probably see summer £90k-a-week signing Xherdan Shaqiri [Source: Spotrac] drop to the substitutes bench.

That will probably be the only change that the German will make, coming on the back of an incredible victory over Arsenal last time out.

There’s next to no chance that Alisson will lose his place in between the sticks as he looks to continue his strong debut season in English football. Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andrew Robertson, meanwhile, will surely keep their places at full back.

Virgil van Dijk and Dejan Lovren are the undisputed starters at centre back with Joe Gomez and Joel Matip both out injured, meaning that they can expect to start once again at the Etihad Stadium.

Fabinho has emerged as a key cog in central midfield of late and will almost certainly remain in place in holding midfield, while Georginio Wijnaldum is one of the first names on the team sheet and will surely play from the start. As mentioned, it will likely be Henderson in for Shaqiri in the other central midfield position.

The team picks itself up front essentially, with Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane surely relishing the chance to take City apart. All three are dead ringers to start on Thursday.
