It is no secret that Liverpool need a favour from other clubs in order for them to win the Premier League. They need Manchester City to drop points in order for their first title in over 29 years. Next going in to battle with the red half of Liverpool behind them is Burnley, who take on City on Sunday afternoon at Turf Moor. The Anfield fans have started to adopt strange tactics on Twitter especially, changing their display pictures to Burnley striker Ashley Barnes in the hope it will inspire him to score. What they didn’t expect to happen was for Jonathan Walters to join in on the trend with a hilarious post asking Jurgen Klopp to give the Clarets forward a contract if he was to score and help Liverpool’s aim for the title. The Anfield faithful responded in waves with support for the new so called movement of the Burnley striker. “We will all chip in to pay his wages for a year” While another fan went a different approach in “sign him up!”.
Only one man can save @LFC now! Is it worth a 3 year contract if he scores the winner tomorrow Jürgen? #LFC pic.twitter.com/Lm8cCb0E7S
