The Egyptian quickly became a hero at Anfield, and no other Premier League player has scored as many goals since he came to England two years ago. Back-to-back Golden Boots have been joined by two African Player of the Year awards, with the winger playing a pivotal part in their run to Champions League glory this season. Salah has become the most prolific Red’s forward since Luis Suarez and is only 11 goals behind the Uruguayan forward after only a couple of years in Merseyside. The 27-year-old could get into any side across the globe, and has proved the fee to bring him back to England was a bargain. Celebrating the two year anniversary of his signature, Liverpool posted a celebratory throwback tweet on their official Twitter account on Saturday morning – much to the delight of their fans. The Anfield faithful lapped it up, with one fan saying, “steal of the century,” while another simply stated, “best African player ever in the PL”.
