Norwich City midfielder Todd Cantwell has taken to Instagram to send a message to Liverpool ace Rhian Brewster.

The teenage striker featured in England U21s 2-0 win over Kosovo on Monday evening, and assisted Phil Foden for one of his goals.

And writing on his personal account after the match, the Kop starlet said: “Nice 2-0 win in front of a home crowd.

“Always an honour.”

Responding to that post, Cantwell, who also featured, simply said: “Love”.

OPINION

It is surely only a matter of time before Brewster his given his senior debut by Liverpool. He continues to perform at every level that he thrown in at, and another assist last night in a comfortable 2-0 win for the U21s showed that he is very much ready to be playing at that level, and the next logical step is a nod from Jurgen Klopp. Obviously he isn’t going to displace Roberto Firmino any time soon, but there’s no reason as to why he can’t get a run out or two in the cup competitions. The fact that he was on the bench for the Champions League final should tell you a lot about how highly he is rated by Klopp, and given the extent to which the German has kept faith with him despite his lengthy injury absence last season, it is no real stretch to imagine him representing the European champions some time in the immediate future.
