Comedian and Liverpool super fan Join Bishop has sent a gushing seven-word message to Reds midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
The 26-year-old came back into the team against Genk on Tuesday night and scored the winning goal in Liverpool’s 2-1 win with a fantastic turn and finish.
Bishop was clearly very impressed by the England international’s performance: “Great to have you back and 100%,” he posted on Oxlade-Chamberlain’s personal Twitter account on Wednesday.

There’s no doubt that Oxlade-Chamberlain now appears to be fully fit and back to top form. As Bishop says, it’s great to see him playing and enjoying his football again. The Englishman gives this Liverpool midfield something just a little bit different: a creative, attacking, goalscoring spark which it lacks at times when he’s not on the pitch. That was very much the case on Tuesday, as he made the difference in what was a lacklustre performance from the Reds. The statistics demonstrate how dominant the former Arsenal man was against the Belgian heavyweights. As per WhoScored.com, he had three shots – two on target with one being the goal – produced a key pass, embarked on three successful dribbles and completed 87.8% of his passes on his way to a WhoScored rating of 8.12. He was absolutely tremendous and, as Bishop says, it’s great to see him back playing and at his best once again.
