Michael Owen has predicted that Liverpool will keep their unbeaten run in the Premier League going with a win over Crystal Palace this weekend.

The Reds are yet to lose a game in the league this term, and are eight points clear at the summit of the table.

And Owen is convinced that that fine run will continue at Selhurst Park.

Speaking to Bet Victor, he said: “Palace have picked up just one point – at the Emirates – from their last four league games and have lost 2-0 against City, Leicester and Chelsea in that sequence.

“Liverpool have an eight-point lead at the top of the Premier League and I would be surprised if the Eagles stopped the Reds in their tracks such is the current form and confidence surrounding Jurgen Klopp’s squad.”

OPINION

This Liverpool side is different gravy at the moment, and it’s almost impossible to imagine them dropping points in games like this. Of course, it’s not impossible, and Palace are a good, solid side these days who are capable of being a banana skin for just about anybody on their day. But the Reds are cut from a different cloth, and they look like absolute juggernauts at the moment. Coming into this off the back of that win over Manchester City, you would expect confidence to be sky high, and there is a belief that has previously been lacking around Anfield. Mo Salah could be absent, as per James Pearce, but even taking that into account, you would fancy Jurgen Klopp’s men to have too much for their hosts. With City facing a tricky test against high-flying Chelsea the gap at the top of the table could just creep a little but closer to being insurmountable this weekend.
