Jeff Stelling has delivered his prediction for Liverpool’s Premier League clash with Brighton on Saturday afternoon.
The Reds host the Seagulls looking to continue their unbeaten start to the domestic campaign, and will come up against a Brighton side who are hoping to avoid a third straight loss.
But Stelling is of the opinion that the Reds will coast to victory, and has told Sky Sports that he expects a 3-0 win for Jurgen Klopp’s men.
OPINION
It’s hard to disagree with Stelling on this one. Liverpool look imperious, especially in the league, and with each passing week it just feels more and more improbable that they will drop points in matches like this. Of course, anything is possible, and Brighton deserve respect, but this is very much Liverpool’s game to lose. That being said, if there is one thing that will worry Jurgen Klopp, it will be how leaky his defence is at the moment. The Reds haven’t kept a clean sheet since September, and all it takes is one harum-scarum moment, coupled with a frustrating day at the other end, and anything could happen. The other big worry will be Manchester City playing in the early kick off. If they can take all three points it will just amp up the pressure on the Reds a little, and that is never a welcome thing.
