Liverpool duo Jordan Henderson and Joe Gomez face a race against time to feature against Crystal Palace in the Premier League, according to Football.London.

The online outlet claim on their website that along with Mohamed Salah and Andrew Robertson, Jurgen Klopp may be disappointed if he wanted to use them all at Selhurst Park after the international break.

Football.London report that whilst it is still unknown how long the England international pairing will be out for, the game against Palace may come too early.

The FA confirmed on Saturday that both Henderson and Gomez have been ruled out of Sunday’s clash against Kosovo and have withdrawn from the squad.

OPINION

Liverpool could be missing a number of faces when they travel to face Crystal Palace and a number of important players at that. The likes of Salah and Robertson are integral to the Reds’ success, and Klopp will be pulling his hair out considering his options for the clash. Although Henderson and Gomez usually go under-the-radar in terms of praise from the fans at Anfield, it is hard to argue that they will both not be missed should they miss out. Having to withdraw from an international squad is never a good sign, and Liverpool must be careful not to aggravate any problems further by pushing them to get their fitness back. Henderson, in particular, would be a massive miss in the heart of midfield, with the captain playing his role perfectly alongside Fabinho this season. The 29-year-old has already scored a vital goal against Tottenham, and the gap that he could possibly leave could be somewhere for Palace to exploit with the likes of Wilfried Zaha.
