OPINION
Trent Alexander-Arnold has certainly proved he is the assist king in the past couple of seasons at Liverpool. Who could forget that corner against Barcelona last season? His passing range continues to get more impressive, and he displayed it once again in the 2-1 win over Genk on Tuesday. Gary Lineker claimed on his personal Twitter account on Wednesday that he would love to see Alexander-Arnold play in a similar role to Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne this season. It would be hard to compare the two, given their different positions at their two clubs. The Belgian has already delivered nine assists this season, which is three times more than the Reds’ youngster. The 21-year-old responded later that same day, simply claiming he needs to master one position at a time at Anfield, with his mind fully set on perfecting his wing-back role. Alexander-Arnold is right to want to stay at right-back, and he is perfect for that role of getting forward at all possible times – something he would struggle to do in Jurgen Klopp’s strict defensive-minded midfield. That didn’t stop Liverpool fans from being blown away by the suggestion, with many already rubbing their hands together at the prospect of seeing the boyhood Red move into a different position.

Already doing so. Biggest myth in football people saying he should change position! World class RB, can genuinely become the best of the best there!
