Many Liverpool fans have reacted very positively to the starting XI selected by Jurgen Klopp for tonight’s FA Cup clash fifth round clash against Chelsea, following the announcement of the team on the Reds’ official Twitter channel @LFC.
As noted by liverpoolfc.com, the line-up shows seven changes to that which started last Saturday’s defeat at Watford, with Virgil van Dijk, Sadio Mane, Fabinho and Andy Robertson the only players to keep their places from the loss at Vicarage Road.

Adrian is selected in goals, with Alisson not even in the squad as Andy Lonergan is named among the substitutes. Joe Gomez returns after missing the Watford game, while young prospects Neco Williams and Curtis Jones are given another run-out in the FA Cup. Adam Lallana comes into the midfield for just his eighth start of the season, while Takumi Minamino and Divock Origi are brought into the attack.
Klopp has ample firepower on the bench if required, with Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain scoring 36 goals between them already this season. These Liverpool fans on Twitter gave a firm thumbs-up to a starting XI that combines regular starters like Van Dijk, Mane and Robertson with rare first team outings for the likes of Jones, Williams and Minamino:

What a team. I’m so happy to see this. Williams, Jones, Minamino. So excited to see these guys play with our more established bunch and how they cope and adapt.
