Plenty of Liverpool fans have been reacting to a question posed by @LFCTransferRoom on Twitter asking if they would like to have Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey at Anfield, with some Kopites rather divided on the hypothetical poser.
@LFCTransferRoom referenced a recent report from Spanish publication Cadena SER stating that two Premier League clubs had made contact with the La Liga outfit about the 26-year-old, who has a €50m (£44.39m) release clause in his contract at the Wanda Metropolitano.
This one heck of a player, he shone yesterday against us.
Would you like to have him next season? ?? https://t.co/R7QnhQOR1v

The Ghanaian was in the Atletico Madrid team that dumped Liverpool out of the Champions League on Wednesday night, a game in which he won four tackles and made four interceptions. One Reds fan on Twitter praised him as a “Gini like” midfielder in comparison to Georginio Wijnaldum, who scored Liverpool’s opening goal in their 2-3 defeat and won three tackles against Diego Simeone’s team.
Partey, who plays primarily as a defensive midfielder, has scored three goals in 35 matches this season (0.09 per game), with the slightly more advanced Wijnaldum netting five times in 38 games (0.13 per game).
The topic of whether the Atletico Madrid man would be an ideal signing for Liverpool sparked polarised opinion among these Reds fans on Twitter:
People saying he was poor??
He was excellent imo very Gini like.
When we pressed he was the cool head getting the ball out safely.
Thought he did great if the clause is right I’d have him— Carl Mcfarlane (@CarlMcfarlane1) March 12, 2020

Never heard of him until he played in the Audi cup at Munich that I went to. He looked different gravy then and at 50m I would love to get him in.
