A number of Liverpool fans have reacted with horror to the appearance of a “vile” shirt rumoured to be the Reds’ third kit for next season.
Empire of the Kop shared an image on their website and on Twitter (via @empireofthekop) of a predominantly black Liverpool shirt with pink trim and lettering, which they maintain could be the club’s third kit for 2020/21.

With Nike taking over from New Balance as the Anfield club’s kit supplier from this summer, numerous designs have been leaked on social media in recent days and weeks. A rumoured home shirt was posted by Footy Headlines recently, drawing a poesitive reaction from plenty of Liverpool fans. However, a video leak of a teal/pale blue away shirt design from Twitter user @TheDalglishDink elicited unfavourable feedback from numerous Reds supporters.
Liverpool’s kit deal with Nike, which is due to take effect from 1 June, has a base value of £30m but could ultimately earn the club as much as £100m per annum, according to sports marketing expert Alan Seymour. [via Evening Standard]
