Bill Shankly

The match happened in Rome and Liverpool was not met with a lot of warmth in Italy. This made the team really want to win bad against the host nation. The match was nail biting and almost equal going into extra-time and then penalties. It was the legendary goalkeeper Bruce Grobbelaar who helped Liverpool finally get what they had come here for – the European Cup.
