In a penalty shoot out, Termeno’s Michael Palma hits the crossbar with his penalty. The Dro goalkeeper thinks the penalty shootout is over and runs to celebrate with is team mates, but the ball slowly spins back and crosses the line. The referee gives a goal and Tremeno go on to win the shoot out. Law is as soon as the ball’s forward motion stops, the kick is over and whatever has happened stands. So it’s a miss as it strikes the crossbar and rebounds upwards and backwards towards the striker. Where the ball goes afterwards is null and void.
That clearly wasn’t a goal!! Stupid ref!
Don’t see anything wrong with it. There is no “time limit” on a penalty situation becoming “dead” whilst the ball is in motion or in the playing area as it was. Both players believed it completed “but took their eye off the ball”
