As reported this morning, Liverpool look to have edged closer to the signing of Brazilian star, Roberto Firmino from his German side Hoffenheim.
The Brazilian is currently on international duty in Chile with his country at the Copa America, but that hasn’t stopped the previously slow and cumbersome LFC ‘transfer committee’ from seemingly pushing through a deal in a very quick and smooth fashion, and Sky Sports have claimed this evening that Liverpool have ‘agreed a deal with Hoffenheim’ this evening, Tweeting:
BREAKING: Sky Sources: Liverpool agree deal with Hoffenheim to sign forward Roberto Firmino. #SSNHQ

Further to this Tweet, Sky Sports have since reported, via their reporter Dharmesh Sheth that: “This is potentially very good news for Liverpool.
“We understand that they have agreed a deal with Hoffenheim for attacking midfielder Roberto Firmino.
“He is at the Copa America in Chile at the moment, but he has given Liverpool a verbal undertaking that he will join in the next 24 hours.
“Sources in Germany have also told us that the deal is as good as done.”
A number of sources in Brazil and Germany have also claimed that Firmino has given Liverpool his word that he will sign for the club in the next 24 hours.
Are you happy with this news, if true, and is this the kind of top quality signing the Reds have been crying out for since last summer?
A positive step and in right direction. Hope Liverpool moves back to where it belongs next season. Well done YNWA !
we need a defensive midfielder…..a right back, left back and lady luck!
