According to reports in Turkey – via The Daily Mail – Atletico Madrid have lodged a £12.4 million bid to try and sign Yusuf Yazici from under the noses of Liverpool and Manchester United.
The young Turkish star is forging quite the reputation for himself in his homeland right now and it was reported not too long ago that the Reds and United were taking a good look at him.
It seems, though, that Atleti are also serious about bringing him in and it could just be that they are in the lead now with this supposed bid.
Turkish newspaper Hurriyet is the one running this story at the moment with the 20-year-old midfielder currently at Trabzonspor – who are thought to want to keep hold of him.
A move to another European side could be on the cards, though, with the likes of AC Milan and Monaco also mentioned.
