A section of Liverpool fans are divided after goalkeeper Loris Karius’ shocker in their 3-1 pre-season loss to Borussia Dortmund in the International Champions Cup in America.
The German stopper’s contributed to Dortmund’s third goal in the closing minutes with a poor mistake as he weakly parried Christian Pulisic’s shot into the path of Bruun Larsen, who slotted home the rebound.

Loris Karius… How on earth did this man become a professional footballer? And I say this in the nicest way possible. Astounded at actually how poor he is.
Unbelievable Jeff!!!

I stand with @LorisKarius. He’s a top lad who deserves our support. The manager will sort out everything else.

OPINION
Following Karius’ small mistake in this defeat to Borussia Dortmund, it is clear that he has not yet recovered from that fateful night in Kiev. However, despite some of the Liverpool faithful criticising his performance and saying he should leave the club, it is good to see that a section of them fully support him despite his mistake. Karius still is a top keeper and Liverpool fans need to remember that he helped them get in to the Champions League Final – harsh criticism that he has been getting is not going to help his confidence. Nevertheless, he is not the only goalkeeper that they have got to rely on, particularly now Allison has joined the ranks and is likely to take the number one spot. His mistake did not lead to a goal, and the fans should be thankful for that.
