Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp are said to be interested in signing Boca Juniors forward Cristian Pavon. Sam McGuire, writing for the Football Whispers website, says he has “sources” close to the club stating that Liverpool’s scouts are monitoring the 20 year old closely.

It is no secret that Liverpool are looking to shore up their attacking options in the January transfer window with Klopp stating recently the squad lacks wingers and may lack strikers if Roberto Firmino is forced to play out wide when Sadio Mane heads to the African Cup of Nations in January.

With Danny Ings ruled out for the rest of the season with a second knee injury, Klopp and his Sporting Director Michael Edwards seem to be scouring the globe for potential talent that could slot into playing in the Reds’ boss’s system.

Pavon is said to be similar in style to the likes of Carlos Tevez and Luis Suarez in his aggressive approach to the game, but with just 18 league starts in three seasons for Boca, the Reds would be taking a gamble.
